Video Editor & Filmmaker
My name is Wyatt Wu and I am a nonfiction filmmaker and video editor based in Los Angeles. I was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley and somehow decided to go to school in the middle of the country at the University of Missouri. At Mizzou, I studied documentary journalism with a minor in film studies.
As a proud Taiwanese-American, my biggest hope is to be able to further represent the Asian-American community within media. I aspire to be able to find passion to film while documenting inspirational and moving events that happen all around me. Some of my favorite films are Spirited Away, Minding the Gap and The Farewell.
I am currently a video editor for the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and will be pursuing my masters degree at UCLA in the Fall of 2022. I am also editing my first documentary feature "Shéár Avory: To Be Continued".
